I don't understand what the hell had Aizen-taicho been bitching about. "They've taken away your creativity, they've taken away your individuality!" *презрительно фыркает*
Today I've hade a lab - a VERY simple one. I've done more complicated things in kindergarten. And, guess what? EVERYONE in my class had problems with it!
I mean, not only could they not understand the simplest instructions, like "Connect the dots with your ruler" or "Shade in the region" or "put the paper with graph on top of the paper with map". They had even failed to read the instructions, namely the first sentence on the first page: "please bring a metric ruler to this lab." - half the class didn't bring a ruler, a quarter of the class brought a ruler with inches on it, and less than 5 people (myself included, of course) actually had a metric ruler.
Now, what kind of individuality and/or creativity would these people have if it was to be taken away? I say none, because both concepts imply some intelligence and these people had NONE! NOTHING was taken from them, because they've NEVER HAD IT! I mean, they've not even passed the stage of "the UNDERpants go UNDER your pants", because that is what I felt like saying when the lab T.A. pulled me up and put me in front of the entire class to explain that the paper with the graph goes UNDER the paper with the map (I was finishing the last part of the assignment when she was still giving them instructions on how to do the first part). By the way, I think I did a good job of both public performance and simple (easily understood by idiots) explanation. I've also managed not to sound too condescending, so yay me.
I can not believe that we were supposed to spend 3 hours doing stuff children stop doing by grade 1, having already mastered all required manipulations. I was out of there before 1st hour was up (and it took me so long only because I've had to keep my hand-writing nice and neat, show all my calculations - for none of which did I need a calculator, even though the manual encouraged us to bring one to this lab, and answer in full sentences always showing the reasoning to my answer).
